During the Holiday months I seem to find myself wanting more and more to stay in and just be with my family, bake, decorate, and make little memories that last a life time. During the summer months I find my self always outdoors adventuring and sometimes we all need a little hibernation time.
I wanted to share with ya all a few tips and tricks to creating a cozy haven for the holiday months with a few simple decor changes and additions!
With a new addition to our family, this year I was all about simplicity in decor for the holiday seasons about to rush upon us. Lets get to it shall we?
Fresh real pumpkins are always a must for my mantle. I absolutely love the pops of color it adds without being to overkill on the black and orange. I tend to always go with the greens, whites, and a few orange. (These also transition over beautifully into Thanksgiving with a change of placement.) The Target “Bullseye” section also always has little succulent pumpkins and cute little additives for mantles that our $1-$5 and can also go into the November Months.
Candles – Because HELLO what says welcome to my cozy haven like a pumpkin spice or apple pie candle burning?
Wood Die Cuts are my new-found love – I have them in our living room and littles rooms and they are a perfect way to make the room feel more “homey”. Craft Cuts creates any phrase you want or they have several selections of pre cut items to choose from as well. You can hand paint or spray paint depending on the look you are going for – We wanted a simple black for our living room to match year round so I just went with spray paint when doing our “Let’s Stay Home” Get Your Custom Cuts Here
Lambs Ear Wreath and Silver or Gold pops I am so obsessed with pops of greenery to break up the traditional colors and add some textures and this year it’s all about the Lambs Ear and Stainless Steel look for a complete Farm house holiday style.
Buffalo Plaid Everythangggggg – I found these buffalo plaid pillows on Amazon and am completely obsessed (I always just buy covers and rotate out through the seasons) they are the perfect addition to our farm-house bench!!!
Big Knit Blankets and throws are the perfect cozy invitation! Who doesn’t love snuggles while watching Hocus Pocus on Free form for the 400th time this season? (It may be my favorite.)
Hoping these little tips allow for ultra happy snuggle time and memory making this Holiday Season! Psssst…. Only 9 Fridays left until Christmas! (I am totall that girl) hehe.
Happy Decorating – xoxo
