Choose a Theme

A great way to get your guests into the Halloween spirit is to choose a theme for your party. You can go with a classic like “ghosts and ghouls” or “witches and wizards,” or you can get creative and come up with something unique. Either way, make sure to let your guests know what the theme is so they can dress appropriately!

Decorate, Decorate, Decorate!

No Halloween party is complete without some spooky decorations. You can go all out with cobwebs, skeletons, and black lights, or keep it simple with pumpkins and candles. Whatever you do, just make sure your house is looking its best for when your guests arrive!

Set the Mood with Music

What kind of mood do you want your party to have? Scary? Silly? Spooky? Make sure to pick Halloween-themed music that will set the tone for your event. You can find some great playlist suggestions online or create your own!

Plan Some Spooky Games

Halloween is the perfect time to break out some fun (and maybe even a little bit naughty) party games. Here are a few of our favorites:

-Apple Bobbing: Fill a large tub or sink with water and float apples in it. Guests take turns trying to bite into the apples without using their hands. The person who gets the most apples wins!

-Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin: This is a classic game that’s perfect for a Halloween party. All you need is a large pumpkin and some small noses (you can make these out of construction paper or felt). Then, blindfold each guest in turn, spin them around a few times, and see if they can get the nose in the right place!

-Mummy Wrap: Divide your guests into teams of two or three and give each team a roll of toilet paper. One member of the team must wrap the other(s) up like a mummy! The first team to finish wins!

-Halloween Scavenger Hunt: Hide Halloween-themed items around your house or yard and give your guests a list of things to find. The first person or team to find everything on the list wins!

-Halloween Trivia: Test your guests’ knowledge of all things Halloween with a trivia game! You can find some great quizzes online or make up your own questions.

Make a Festive Menu

Create a fun, and festive menu full of all sorts of Halloween treats. Think deviled eggs made to look like ghosts, mummy hot dogs wrapped in pre-made croissant dough, or cupcakes decorated to look like pumpkins. This pumpkin cookie recipe is a perfect addition to any Halloween party. And of course, don’t forget the candy! Your guests will love munching on Halloween-themed snacks throughout the night.

Serve Some Creepy Cocktails

What’s a party without some delicious drinks? Get into the Halloween spirit by whipping up some spooky cocktails for your guests! Here are a few of our favorites:

-Witches’ Brew: This green cocktail is perfect for any Halloween party. Just mix together vodka, Midori, lemon juice, and Sprite. Top it off with a gummy worm or two, and you’re good to go!

-Bloody Mary: This classic drink gets a festive twist with the addition of some food coloring. Just mix together tomato juice, vodka, Worcestershire sauce, Tabasco sauce, and a few drops of red food coloring. Serve it up in glasses rimmed with celery salt and garnish with a celery stalk.

-Black Magic: This drink is as delicious as it is beautiful. Just mix together crème de cassis, vodka, and lemon juice. Then add some black food coloring until you get the desired shade. Finally, garnish with edible glitter or sparkles for an extra touch of magic!

-Spiderweb Martini: This martini is sure to impress your guests! Start by rimming your glasses with black sugar. Then mix together vodka, Baileys, and coffee liqueur. Pour it into the glasses and top it off with a spiderweb made from melted chocolate.
